Hargreaves Industrial Services is a leading provider of contract operation and maintenance services. We have recently been awarded a contract to provide operational support services to Enfinium, a UK-based energy from waste (EfW) company, specialising in converting non-recyclable waste into renewable energy. Enfinium operates several state-of-the-art facilities in the UK, and we are proud to support them by providing operational services at their newest site at Skelton Grange, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Hargreaves are seeking the appointment of an Multi-Functional Operator to fulfil a working multi-functional role at the newly constructed Skelton Grange site in Leeds. Working in the energy from waste (EfW) industry offers a unique blend of environmental, technological, and societal benefits, making it an attractive career choice. The role briefly encompasses the following duties:
* Attend any meetings or training sessions as required
* Comply with Safe Working Procedures
* Operate a selection of mobile plant including front end loading shovel, forklift truck, telehandler, and scissor lift
* General cleaning of the tipping hall
* Support the daily operational activities of the energy from waste plant
* Ensure plant and equipment is always maintained to an operationally safe and clean condition
* Provide assistance in the field when and where needed
* The successful candidate will also be required to support secondary roles within the operation
* Work on a shift rota basis including occasional Saturdays
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:
* Good communicator at many levels, including colleagues, other contractors, and clients
* Passport to Safety / IOSH managing safely (Preferred)
* Qualified & competent to operate mobile plant to NPORS level (essential)
* Flexible approach to work
* A strong team player
* Ability to work independently and on own initiative
* Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
* Understanding of Safe Working Procedures
* Good timekeeping and willing to work overtime as necessary
