Job Opportunity: Employee Relations Partner
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a new challenge specialising in employee relations? We have a great opportunity for an Employee Relations Partner to join our friendly and hard-working HR Team at the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM), University of Oxford. This role will be on a part-time (60% FTE) basis and will be fixed-term for 12 months to cover maternity leave within the team.
The NDM HR Centres of Excellence provides comprehensive HR support to the Old Road Campus Units, Centres, Institutes, and international programmes (Africa and Asia Programmes – AAPs). By consolidating professional HR staff into specialised centres, we ensure close collaboration with managers to advance our strategic goals of enhancing service efficiency through streamlined, standardised processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the first point of contact for Business Managers, frontline managers, and employees for employment issues.
2. Provide best practice HR advice and support on all aspects of employee relations including HR policies and processes, terms and conditions of employment, and the management of change.
Qualifications
This role is suitable for a highly motivated individual, with CIPD Level 5 and Associate membership. You'll bring demonstrable experience in HR with up-to-date practical knowledge of employment law, specifically in the ER arena. Strong influencing skills will be essential for this role alongside the ability to critically analyse complex situations and recommend effective ER solutions. A strong focus on customer service, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential for success in this role.
