Job Description What you’ll do This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children’s Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and in their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge. This role involves caring for a child with West syndrome, they require administration of medication via peg feed; management of seizures, personal care and moving and handling. There is also quite a social aspect to this position as she loves to be taken outside for fresh air around her local community, she attends school during the day and loves listening to people reading stories to her.
