This is an opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping to create an inclusive, nurturing and empowering environment. About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and social-emotional challenges. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, your main objective will be to provide targeted, personalised support that enables each child to reach their full potential. Job Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with identified SEN, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met. Assist the classroom teacher in delivering differentiated lessons that cater to varying learning styles and abilities. Promote positive behaviour and encourage the development of social skills through tailored interventions. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies as directed by SEN specialists. Support pupils during transitions, break times and off-site activities when necessary. Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff and SEN coordinators. Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and respected. Job Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in a school or care setting. A calm, patient and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with complex needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff and parents. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD, etc. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
