Job Description
CPU Research Engineer
We are currently hiring for an experienced CPU Researcher focusing on researching and developing novel techniques for improving CPU/GPU energy efficiency for one of the leading tech companies and their mobile device chip set.
You will be responsible for investigating performance and energy bottlenecks of the mobile CPU micro-architecture pipeline. You will be developing and exploring novel techniques for performance and energy software/hardware optimizations. The open position implies a wide range of research activities in collaboration with research centres across the UK towards improving the performance and energy efficiency of the companies heterogeneous chip powering mobile phones and other devices in the ecosystem.
In this role, you will have a chance to prototype the state-of-the-art in-house CPU design with integrated 5G module and participate in the development of a new generation of system software stack for the Edge eco-system.
This opportunity is an onsite working position, with the companies main office in Cambridge.
