All with a river running through it. We have some exciting new projects over the next few years to take the garden to the next level so it is a great time to join the team.As a Senior Gardener you'll be key support to the Head Gardener - involved with work planning, procurement and compliance – as well as being organised and an effective communicator.There’s a huge variety of tasks in the extensive gardens which means you’ll be doing something different almost every day.You’ll take part in the long-term planning and help set the strategy for the garden department. Additionally, we’ll support you with the machinery and horticultural training you require or wish to pursue. You need to be able to carry out physically demanding work daily on a site with steep hills, be competent with machinery such as mowers, strimmers and hedgecutters. You'll be able to connect with, motivate and inspire your gardening colleagues and volunteers as well as share an enthusiasm for engaging our visitors in the Quarry Bank story and aims of the National Trust.You’ll also take ultimate ownership of significant areas, maintaining and developing your area, an excellent opportunity to leave your mark in a very special place.
