PE Teacher Position: Physical Education Teacher Location: Swansea Contract Type: Full Time (temporary) Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £166.32 per day Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a PE Teacher for one of our partner secondary schools in the West Swansea area. The school are committed to raising standards for their pupils whilst having a focus on supporting families and the wider community. Job Description: As a PE teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape the physical education experience of students across a range of year groups. Your role will include planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and innovative lessons that encourage participation, skill development, and teamwork. You will be responsible for promoting an active lifestyle and supporting students in achieving their personal fitness goals. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the curriculum. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Encourage student participation in a variety of physical activities, including individual and team sports. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Contribute to extracurricular activities such as sports clubs, competitions, and events. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s physical education program. Promote the importance of healthy living and fitness within the school community. Essential Criteria: Qualified PE teacher with a degree in Physical Education or a related field. Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching PE at KS3 & KS4. Passionate about inspiring students to lead active, healthy lifestyles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate lessons for students of all abilities. A proactive and positive approach to student engagement. Desirable Criteria: Experience in coaching or leading sports teams. Additional coaching qualifications or specialisms in particular sports. Experience in teaching extracurricular sports or leading school sports events.
