The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You must be able to follow detailed work instructions with unwavering attention to detail and a relentless focus on quality, but also to think critically and problem-solve when documentation is incomplete or evolving
What You’ll Do
1. Perform inspection of PCBA and mechanical parts.
2. Carry out sub-assembly electro-mechanical build and test.
3. Support full satellite assembly and integrated system testing.
4. Accurately complete all quality documentation.
5. Provide clear and actionable design feedback based on testing results.
6. Support production with testing solutions and troubleshooting.
7. Produce thorough investigation reports for failures and anomalies.
Key Skills
8. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering or a related technical field.
9. Extensive experience in electro-mechanical assembly and test within a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
10. Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively in collaborative team settings.
11. Strong understanding of technical documentation, including PCB layouts, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
12. Solid understanding of RF, Digital, and Power circuit theory.
13. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a quality-first mindset.
Preferred Skills
14. IPC or J-standard qualification for SMT component placement and rework.
15. Experience working in a fast-paced, agile production environment.
16. Hands-on experience with PCBA and mechanical assembly work.
17. Familiarity with software programming or scripting for test systems.
18. Ability to absorb and share technical knowledge efficiently.
19. Demonstrated honesty, openness, and self-awareness.
20. Lean/continuous improvement mindset with a drive for process optimisation.
Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.
