An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical support worker to join our caring, supportive, and dynamic team within our paediatric outpatient department.

Main Duties of the Job
We are a busy children's outpatients department, facilitating appointments for acute and community paediatric services across two sites in the Wirral area. You will work with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people who attend the paediatric department.
* Communicate effectively with children of all ages and their families.
* Create a safe and welcoming family-friendly environment.
* Obtain physiological observations for babies, children, and young people.
* Perform some clerical duties in addition to domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and deducted from your salary over a three-month period.
As this vacancy is within the division of Women and Children, there is a mandatory requirement for successful candidates to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details on how to join the update service will be provided on appointment.
Person Specification
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* NVQ 2 in Care (or appropriate experience and commit to undertaking and completing within 18 months of commencement)
* Care Certificate
* Experience in working in a clinical environment
* Experience in working in the NHS
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understand when to seek support and advice.
* Aware of personal and professional limitations.
* Ability to perform under pressure.
