About the role
Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor for our Mottram Moor Link A57 Road highways improvement scheme in Manchester.

What you'll be doing
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with the Commercial Team managing all the costs related to the Mottram Moor Link A57 Road highways improvement scheme in Manchester.
* Working collaboratively with the project team, the Client, and our supply chain to deliver the works within time and budget.
* Commercial management including forecasting and providing input to the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
* Share accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the project.
* Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately in line with Balfour Beatty governance and appropriate contract terms and conditions.
* Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial support staff.
* Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operational site teams. Supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
* Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
* Holding a valid UK Driving license
* Civils, Infrastructure or Highways projects experience helpful
* Be within a reasonable commutable distance of the above base location
