MS554 - Food & Beverage Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Manager on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will take complete control and accountability for the day-to-day food and beverage operations within the business, ensuring that all staff meet set criteria.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all daily and weekly operational meetings within the business are happening.
2. Ensure the business delivers the minimum brand standards in food and beverages.
3. Ensure all standard checklists are used as prescribed.
4. Empower the team to handle all customer feedback, both positive and negative, and record it correctly.
5. Actively consider prevention, recovery, and investigation of any complaints.
6. Undertake the role of toastmaster as required.
7. Carry out quality training and coaching.
8. Ensure all service standards are maintained.
9. Maintain standards for cleanliness.
10. Ensure that the team is correctly uniformed and understands the importance of hygiene.
11. Ensure that the team is punctual, polite, courteous, and helpful to customers and colleagues.
12. Liaise with the Line Manager about preventative maintenance of the department.
13. Prepare, check, and monitor departmental forecasts and rotas to ensure they align with set budgets and meet service and business needs.
14. Purchase/order departmental supplies, carry out stocktake, and action any discrepancies.
15. Control departmental costs through correct storage and distribution of supplies.
16. Ensure compliance with company health and safety, food safety, and COSHH legislations.
17. Onboard new employees and conduct performance reviews.
18. Devise, agree, and action training plans for the department with Line and HR Manager.
19. Liaise with Heads of Departments to ensure all internal learning and development tools are utilized.
20. Attend all H&S, fire, and food training as directed by the designated Line Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Demonstrates management and facilitation skills.
3. Demonstrates a basic understanding of human resource management.
4. Demonstrates competence in training/presentation skills.
5. Flexible approach to work and location.
6. Attend BIIAB training.
7. Carry out Duty Management as required.
