Provide assurance to the Trust on compliance of policy and performance reporting for Cancer pathways. Including leading on validation of performance across National standards. Provide key support and resource to Clinical Groups and Specialties in the operational management and delivery of performance against Cancer pathway targets. Providing challenge and governance of recovery plans to achieve performance improvement. Achieve improvement in the completeness and accuracy of data recording and ensure data quality processes are in place. To produce and facilitate a robust audit programme to ensure local and Trustwide accurate data capture and adherence to local and national rules and standards. Regularly monitor Cancer standards and targets for the Trust and provide papers/reports to senior managers and Trust Board, providing performance and delivery updates, raising escalations and translate complex information. Formulate and be responsible for the implementation and review of the Trusts Access Policies and aligned standard operating procedures to support and underpin the policy. Including responsibility for maintenance of user-friendly Administration Patient Pathway Intranet site to provide accurate and timely information relating to pathway management. Analyse complex problems with regards to pathway management and work with clinical services to devise practical and workable solutions. Work with Informatics and IT application management teams in ensuring systems fully support accurate pathway management for internal and external reporting. Responsible for the development, delivery and sustainability of training packages around Cancer Services. Ensuring all staff are competent on the delivery of national rules and pathway management. Responsibility for the budget within your team regularly reviewing establishments and skill mix to ensure they are effectively managed and have organisational efficiency. Undertake project work as and when required to support the delivery of local and national performance targets.
