Reporting to the Commercial Business Manager, the successful candidate would help analyse and co-ordinate order book, financial, margin, price and customer data. This is a supporting role to help determine policy or tactical changes that improve the business' functions, actions and profitability.
This role directly supports the Sales & Marketing team and acts as a facilitator between the commercial organisation and the financial and operational functions. This is a proactive and responsive function that will support the senior sales and executive teams throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Utilise and develop financial information systems and process controls to support the business’ objectives.
2. Prepare and produce dashboards to support calculation and reporting of MS KPIs.
3. Provide ‘order book’ analysis to plan and forecasts.
4. Provide input to the ‘demand planning’ process.
5. Ensure timely, accurate reporting of sales performance, price, and margin gaps for MS Senior Management weekly, monthly & quarterly.
6. Provide forecasts and outlooks as appropriate.
7. Offer assistance on management of rebates and promotional plans.
8. Prepare market insights based on robust research sources.
9. Support targeting and measurement of sales team bonus schedules.
10. Support R&D, product management and plant finance on pricing and margin analysis.
11. Update business reporting modules such as BI.
12. Update and provide the business with sales pricing and volumes by product class & customer for financial outlooks and forecasts.
13. Assist in the delivery of commercial inputs into Budget, and strategic / 5-year plans.
14. Support data manipulation and interpretation from CRM systems.
15. Support analysis for UK, EU & Ireland sales managers.
16. Assist in supporting the business on specific project initiatives from time to time.
Typical Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
1. Higher education in STEM subjects or equivalent
2. Excellent numerical skills
3. Excellent Microsoft Office 365 Skills in Excel
4. Experience using a Data Visualisation tool (Power BI or Tableau) datasets
5. Able to analyse/manipulate large datasets
6. Robust understanding of supply chain processes
