We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher or trainee teacher to join our Design Technology and Art Department. This role is offered at between 0.7 FTE and full-time, with a split of approximately two-thirds DT and one-third Art; this will be confirmed with the successful candidate at interview.
The role may especially suit an ECT or a recent graduate of Design Technology who is keen to undertake a teacher training programme with the University of Buckingham whilst working at, and being supported by, the School.
Design Technology and Art are very popular with our students, and our DT and Art teams work effectively and supportively to enable students to make excellent progress while ensuring that the creative subjects are a central part of the school curriculum.
We are looking to appoint a graduate or teacher who is articulate and inspiring, confident and supportive. They will have enthusiasm and drive, with the ability and determination to attain and maintain very high educational standards.
The new post-holder will have a friendly approachable manner and will be able to demonstrate confident drawing ability, good use of a variety of 2D and 3D Art and Design techniques, solid ability with digital media, and confident use of hand and machine tools.
Ceramics experience, and confidence with Photoshop, Procreate and iPad is desirable.

The salary for this role will be Teachers’ Unqualified, Main or Enhanced Pay Scale, depending on experience.
