Registered Veterinary Nurse - Stoke-on-Trent
• Exciting opportunity to join a small animal hospital as an RVN
• Benefit from a varied caseload + occasional shifts at the 2nd site, making no 2 days the same!
• Generous benefits package including salary up to £28,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a dynamic first-opinion small animal hospital and referral practice just outside Stoke-on-Trent. This role is perfect for an RVN with a passion for consulting, eager to make a difference in both a main hospital setting and a specialised cat-only clinic nearby.
The position primarily focuses on consulting at the well-equipped main hospital, with the opportunity to work occasional shifts at the nearby cat-only clinic. Both facilities boast state-of-the-art equipment, including separate theatres and prep areas, digital x-ray, a dedicated dental theatre with dental x-ray, species-specific wards, and isolation units. Additionally, they have a new K laser for both therapeutic treatments and surgery, multiparameter machines for patient monitoring, various endoscopes, a CT scanner, and a Cryopen. The hospital also offers laparoscopic surgery, providing diverse cases and learning opportunities.
The team is composed of experienced professionals at different stages of their careers, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. They encourage their nurses to perform Schedule 3 procedures, such as nerve blocks, stitch-ups, and tail amputations, with comprehensive support to help them develop these skills.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and compassionate RVN who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment. You will be passionate about consulting and dedicated to providing excellent patient care. With a strong interest in advancing your skills, particularly in consulting and surgical support, you will thrive in the friendly and supportive team.
If you're a forward-thinking, highly motivated RVN looking for a varied role with opportunities for professional growth, we would love to hear from you. Join the team and be part of a practice that values innovation, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.
