JOB PURPOSE
* Assist the Engineering Executive in maintenance and operations of all the general utility equipment.
* Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
* Control and check all the equipment.
* Work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
* Handle and maintain all equipment properly.
* Bring any matters which may affect the interests of the hotel to the attention of the Management.
* Abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.
EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES & EMPOWERMENT
* Responsible for maintaining and operating all the general utility equipment defect free as per standards.
* Empowered to provide service, assist guests, and interact with guests and internal customers for trouble-free operations of the equipment.
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial:
* Maintain the par stock required at the stores.
* Assist Engineering Executive in making store requisition.
* Keep and render accounts of all materials used.
* Identify optimal, cost-effective use of resources.
Operational:
* Maintain all the general utility equipment as per specified standards.
* Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Responsible for operation and maintenance of laundry and kitchen equipment.
* Maintain all tools and equipment as required.
* Assist other departmental personnel as necessary.
* Complete all assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.
* Complete necessary reports and work orders as required.
* Practice safety in all aspects of the job.
* Be helpful and courteous to guests at all times.
* Handover important messages and guest requests to the Engineers.
* Report any missing or broken property to the Engineer.
* Maintain high levels of personal hygiene.
* Be familiar with preventive maintenance schedules.
* Aware of guest complaint handling procedures.
* Ensure the upkeep of all equipment.
* Follow up on works handed over by the Engineering Executive.
* Perform any other duty assigned by the Engineering Executive.
* Abide by company policies and decisions.
* Fill the Preventive Maintenance chart with all required information after completion of preventive works and all kinds of complaints.
* Abide by key handling procedures.
* Follow all safety and security measures.
* Safeguard and protect Hotel Property.
* Carry out start and end of shift duties.
* Keep the workshop and engineering machinery areas clean and neat.
* Report any maintenance issues in guest rooms, machinery areas, and public areas.
Business Plan / Analysis:
* Assist the Engineer in analyzing all guest complaints and feedback.
* Assist the Engineer in analyzing all machinery history and complaints.
* Be aware of the company’s business plan.
* Be aware of departmental financials.
General Duty:
* Maintain good working relations with fellow colleagues and management.
* Provide other duties and services as assigned by the Associate Director of Engineering.
* Respond quickly in handling emergency situations.
* Have complete knowledge of facilities available in-house.
* Be thorough on fire and safety procedures.
* Adhere to hygiene standards.
* Follow environmental issues.
* Ensure that personal grooming adheres to standards.
