The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a physically demanding role so you need to know you will be active and on your feet for most of the working day. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing surveillance and security mechanisms and dealing with providers Preparing rooms for meetings and events Monitoring air conditioning and heating levels in a building and in the operational areas and developing a working knowledge of the systems and dealing with suppliers Painting and general decoration Repair and general maintenance General installation: e.g. Shelving, display boards, building tables, desks, installing new PCs/Printers Liaising with IT Company to set up new users/Liaison between staff and IT provider to manage IT queries Dealing with Phone System Providers and troubleshooting any communications issues Basic plumbing and electrical: e.g. leaks, blockages, changing bulbs, minor installation and repair Building relationships with key utilities (BT/Electrician/Plumber/Builder/Comms providers) and employing them for fixes when required. Routine Daily/Monthly inspections of lighting/fire system and fire protection (fire doors, extinguishers etc) Liaising with Fire Protection Officer regarding regular Risk Assessments. Liaising with Water Testing providers to maintain general water assessment. Responsible for the implementation and management of the H&S of the facilities Rotational responsibility for Lone Worker safety. Collaborate with the Head of Operations to implement effective maintenance strategies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Respond to out of hours call outs as required.
