Job vacancy - Technical Support Engineer
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Technical Support Engineer to take control of the service function and manage the external service providers.
Responsibilities:
* Support Sales team, external engineers, and customers with product information and technical support.
* Attend customer sites to repair products in the field.
* Train external service engineers as required.
* Retro-fit equipment to fulfill customer orders.
* Source, catalogue, and update technical information in the central system for easy accessibility.
* Ensure correct documentation is submitted to the warehouse for any parts used during work.
Qualifications:
* Excellent telephone manner and ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers.
* Able to work calmly under pressure and deal empathetically with frustrated customers.
* Competent IT skills, able to use Word, Excel, and other software as required; typing at reasonable speed while speaking to customers is essential.
* Knowledge of CAD systems and HTML is advantageous.
* Ability to understand and retain product information.
