The role is full time and is maternity cover for 12 months fixed term. You'll be working 36 hours per week. Working on a national programme, you can be based in one of our regional office locations (York, Bristol, Swindon, London) along with some hybrid working. There will be travel required to other English Heritage offices and sites nationally. This is a great opportunity for you to use your experience as a registrar to support English Heritage's Collections Curatorial team's storytelling across the National Collection. You will ensure English Heritage complies with national and international sector and legal standards, legislation, licencing and transport. You will act as primary contact for all related enquiries and work closely with colleagues across curatorial disciplines and in other English Heritage directorates to develop and build positive stakeholder relationships and well-planned loan programme. You will manage English Heritage's coverage and claims under the Government Indemnity Scheme (GIS) and commercial insurance policies. You will support the Senior Registrar with particular focus on complex loans and will take line management responsibility for the Assistant Registrar (Loans) working collaboratively to deliver high standard of loans programme both to and from English Heritage.
