Evolve IT Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for an award-winning financial services organisation in Edinburgh. In the role of Project Manager, you will be a key part of the Change Management team that is delivering change in line with the business plan and strategic objectives of the organisation. This will include planning and delivering complex projects and will provide the opportunity to work closely with all business functions to analyse, plan, and deliver projects that truly deliver results. You will be adept at working across multiple projects of varying size and complexity and will have an understanding and experience of a broad range of technologies and approaches to delivering technology-enabled change. You will make informed decisions, rapidly acquiring new knowledge and skills, and will be a confident communicator dealing with staff at all levels of the organisation (including internal and 3rd party suppliers).
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the delivery of multiple concurrent projects to agreed timescales and quality.
2. Take ownership of project plans, agreed milestones, project resource demand, and project reporting in alignment with company standards.
3. Manage complex technology projects, requiring the delivery, integration, and implementation of multiple third-party solutions and development.
4. Coordinate and manage technology implementation events, utilising experience to educate other team members and strengthen this capability within the Change Team.
5. Identify, track, manage, and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
6. Analyse problem and opportunity statements and work with stakeholders to seek solutions.
7. Track and report on project costs and ensure the project is completed within allotted budgets and track, report, and realise project benefits, taking necessary actions required using a consistent approach.
8. Manage the technical and business aspects of a project via the relevant framework and project methodology.
9. Build and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders across the organisation at all levels, including external partners and 3rd party suppliers tasked with delivering the joint implementation project outcomes.
10. Challenge key stakeholders, third parties, vendors, and business functions to deliver what is agreed.
Essential:
1. Proven commercial experience in Project Management across a wide range of projects (IT, Business Change, Software, Data, etc.).
2. Prince2 accreditation (or similar such as PMP, etc.).
3. Experience delivering technical projects such as data centre migrations and application upgrades.
4. Experience in the management and implementation of technology change.
5. Adept analytical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex information to identify and manage resolution of key issues.
6. Excellent organisational and planning experience.
