ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNICATION Administration duties To have a thorough knowledge of all practice policies and procedures. To work in accordance of written protocols To assist with specified work streams, as directed by the Administration Team Lead, to include: o Process post and electronic communications on the day they arrive o Record management o Maintain retinal screening website o Waiting list for 24 hour ECGs and 24 hour B/Ps o Long Term Condition Review recalls & QOF targets o Identify pre-diabetic patients and signpost to Diabetes Prevention Programme o Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries o Code clinical correspondence on patient record o Patient record summarising o Maintain website and Facebook Page Any other Administration duties required as advised by the Operations Manager Telephone & Communication Handle all telephone and general enquiries in a professional manner, referring urgent calls to clinical staff. Make appointments for patients in accordance with practice protocols Liaise with hospital and community staff IT SKILLS Computer Daily monitoring and processing of all emails received in to the main surgery nhs.net email account Ensure all Tasks and Notifications received via S1 are appropriately completed Ensure that emails on NHS.net are regularly read and processed as required
