My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires an Environmental Project Engineer to join them and be responsible for planning, managing and delivering work packages within their Environmental Proving Team.

This is a great opportunity to work in a specialist mechanical and climatic facility, using ground-breaking analytical tools and innovative techniques for simulating environments across the lifecycle of weapon systems.
The Environmental Project Engineer will be a technical focal point, helping the team to provide expertise through all stages of the product lifecycle on issues such as requirements specification and management, the definition of proving methodologies, project management, data analysis, as well as climatic simulation, modelling and testing, mechanical (vibration and shock) and fatigue.
The team uses its specialist technical knowledge and advice to provide technical accuracy and delivery of projects within assigned work packages. The role will provide plenty of opportunity for ‘hands-on’ engineering coupled with technical work based on fundamental engineering principles.
This role offers the chance to influence the design, manufacture and proving of weapons products, whilst developing your own technical skills and gaining experience across the wider product portfolio.
