We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at our 4-star hotel, which features a vibrant sports bar and an elegant la carte restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-paced kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Operations: Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards in your assigned section (grill, sauté, sauce, etc.). Assist in creating menus for both the sports bar and la carte restaurant, ensuring variety and quality. Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Food Safety & Hygiene: Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Ensure correct food storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste. Adhere to HACCP and hotel health & safety guidelines. Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and train Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters as required. Foster a positive and productive working environment within the kitchen team. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Stock & Cost Control: Assist in monitoring food stock levels and place orders as needed. Help control food costs and minimize waste without compromising quality. Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu updates. Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel, sports bar, or fine dining restaurant. Strong culinary skills with experience in grill, sauté, or pastry (depending on section). Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong team player with leadership qualities. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
