An opportunity has arisen for one enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join an established clinical trials unit team.
You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic first level registered nurse, experienced in direct patient care ideally in the oncology or research setting.
This post will involve working with a team to assist in recruiting and caring for oncology patients in clinical trials.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Responsibilities include supervision in identifying patients suitable for clinical trials, providing patient information, patient monitoring and accurate data collection whilst adhering to relevant legislation and national frameworks.
This role also requires the learned skills and ability to provide support to trials Systemic Anti-Cancer Team (SACT) treatment team which will include administration of SACT.
Main duties of the job
* Work with a team to assist in co-ordinating a portfolio of cancer clinical trials.
* Provide information to cancer patients, considering entry into specific cancer research studies.
* Assist with the co-ordination of a portfolio of clinical trials and research studies across various cancer disease sites.
* Provide some administrative and data management support for all aspects of trial organisation as a member of the clinical trials unit research network team.
* Communicate and collaborate with local regional and national organisations regarding administration of research as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
