Our client is a very well established manufacturer of equipment used in the energy sector, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Fitter to join their Operations team in Leeds.
The Role:
* Fit various types of distribution and power transformers.
* Prepare tasks by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists, and gathering necessary materials and tools.
* Assemble components, ensuring proper fit and securing parts and subassemblies.
* Maintain high workmanship standards and product quality, ensuring on-time delivery to customer specifications.
* Complete and check all associated paperwork for work orders.
* Conduct general housekeeping duties, reporting any issues or equipment breakdowns promptly.
* Use workshop machinery and hand tools relevant to the fitting role.
* Inspect and ensure the quality of output produced by colleagues.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Proven hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and schematic drawings.
* Experience in collaborating effectively with operations teams.
Salary & Hours:
£14.00 - £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Monday to Thursday: 07:45 – 16:45
Friday: 07:45 – 15:15.
