Service Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Technician who has previous experience, preferably in a mechanical or industrial setting is required to job our Service Engineering Team at Redler, based in Scotlands Central Belt.
SALARY: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum + Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Service Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Technician who has previous experience, preferably with mechanical handling and bulk materials handling experience.
The role requires a keen focus on customer satisfaction and a drive to get the job done coupled with the ability to fulfil a business development function, promoting Redler site services to the large number of existing Redler customers located in Scotland and the Borders region.
As a Service Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Technician you will work alone to perform a service inspection or manage a team of engineers to perform a major refit or new machine installation. When onsite you will be required to represent Redler and promote our core values of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
Supported by our highly skilled aftermarket, engineer and operations teams, as a Service Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Technician you will become part of a highly motivated team and will be provided with a range of product and industrial skills-based training to enable you to achieve success.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Service Engineer / Mechanical Engineering Technician include:
Maintain a high standard of customer service and health and safety
Conduct service inspections visits to customer sites from which you will create a service report informing the customer about the condition of their equipment and also to enable the aftermarket team to prepare a proposal for any spare parts and further service work required
Conduct new equipment installations managing a team of service engineers to complete the scope of works within the customers desired timescale. Whilst on site you will be responsible for ensuring the correct permits are obtained and youre your team follow all site and health and safety regulations
Develop a detailed knowledge of the Redler customer base in the Scottish and Borders region and participate in site visits with these customers to help develop and increased the volume of site service work in this geographical area
Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and offer technical guidance and support
Maintain accurate records of service visits, including reports, documentation, and recommendations
Provide training to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of Redler products
Communicate effectively with the technical support and engineering teams to provide insights for product improvement
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a Service Engineer, preferably in a mechanical or industrial setting
Competence in the use of email and standard MS office systems
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage a demanding schedule
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Willingness to travel extensively throughout Scotland and the Boarders region
