An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Rheumatology Infusions Nurse on a fixed term 12 month contract to join our dedicated Multidisciplinary Rheumatology team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust at the Nightingale Hospital in Exeter.

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
Our dedicated biologics infusion unit is now placed within our specialist premises within the Nightingale Rheumatology Department. This day-case unit provides specialist biologics and osteoporosis treatments to our patients - Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:30. The successful post holder would need to be a registered nurse with IV and cannulation training and have a special interest in Rheumatology nursing services. The successful post holder will be able to independently run a list of patients undergoing intravenous and subcutaneous therapies within this specialist unit providing high quality evidence-based care. They will be expected to take responsibility for their own caseload within the designated clinical areas and for the assessment and treatment of patients on a day to day basis, without direct guidance from the line manager.
The Rheumatology service currently also runs multiple speciality outpatient Consultant and nurse-led clinics alongside the infusion unit within the Nightingale Hospital. The successful post-holder will have the opportunity to work alongside both the dedicated specialist nursing team and the Consultant team to gain experience in Rheumatology care.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30
