Junior Intelligence Analyst - Africa
We are recruiting a Junior Intelligence Analyst for the Africa region to join our Healix team in Esher. You will be part of the Healix Global Security Operation Centre based in Esher, UK, with satellite offices in Vancouver and Singapore.
Operating 24/7/365, our Global Security department is made up of security and crisis management specialists who are highly knowledgeable in the risks associated with global travel. As industry experts, we provide our clients with evaluations of security risks, advice on minimizing those risks, and guidance for building a safer and more secure environment for their staff.
Our Junior Intelligence Analysts support our Risk Intelligence Manager in ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality operational security services. The role involves a diverse range of responsibilities including:
* Monitor a range of sources for information on global security developments and major travel disruptions that may impact the Healix client base.
* Take overall responsibility for Africa regional intelligence output.
* Publish accurate, informative, and actionable security alerts on developments that meet the internal thresholds for reporting.
* Stay abreast of major regional developments and identify suitable topics for more complex reports that analyze the security, political, and operational risk environment.
* Using our Tool for Intelligence Gap Analysis, improve the quality of both desktop and network intelligence sources for the Africa region and schedule reviews with regional teammates.
* Maintain records of risk and evacuation ratings using the ‘Risk SPIDER’ and other in-house quantitative and qualitative tools.
* Work closely alongside the security operations team and provide analytical input to security advice and assistance cases as required.
* Identify issues that constitute an out-of-the-ordinary security incident or major deterioration, prompting an escalated operational posture, and proactively inform the wider operations team and author alerts.
* In a crisis or over the course of a protracted security issue, provide continuous updates to the wider operations platform and lead post-incident reporting.
In addition to full training being provided for the role, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to undertake a highly comprehensive Crisis and Security Risk Manager training programme, specifically designed to develop your security manager skills, competencies, and undertake professional qualifications.
Please note that this is a shift-based role, including working weekends and public holidays, and the successful candidate will need to commute to our offices in Esher regularly.
