Specialist Rotational Pharmacy Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our well-established pharmacy team.
Ideally, you should have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent with significant hospital pharmacy experience.
If you are a good team player, with excellent communication skills and can work well under pressure, this is the job for you!
Main duties of the job
In this varied role, you will be helping to deliver a high quality pharmacy service to our patients by rotating through the following areas of the pharmacy department:
* The inpatient dispensary
* Stores and distribution services
* Ward based medicines management services

Job responsibilities
The Pharmacy Department provides pharmaceutical services to all wards and departments within the Royal Surrey, including the St Luke's cancer centre and the paediatric unit. It also provides a service to external hospitals and clinics including Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh Hospitals.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade A to C) or equivalent qualification
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification
Knowledge
* Stores and distribution experience
* Dispensary experience including answering queries and progress chasing
* Customer service experience and task related problem solving
* Previous work in stock control
* Hospital pharmacy work experience including knowledge of how to deal with work related non-routine activities
