As Leadership Development and Early Careers Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development of Scania’s talent, from apprentices all the way through to senior leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within our UK organisation. You will use your experience to create attractive early careers recruitment campaigns, plan and map development initiatives, and deliver hands-on leadership development to our most valuable assets, our people.
In this role you will:
* Report into the Head of People Development for Scania in the UK, overseeing our Early Careers and Leadership Development programmes.
* Enhance career growth within our organisation through an end-to-end pipeline of talent.
* Plan, map and deliver an Early Careers strategy for Scania Great Britain.
* Implement/improve recruitment strategies for our technical apprentice programmes, graduate programmes and internships, designing, planning and leading the selection processes.
* Design and oversee our Early Careers recruitment campaigns, ensuring a best-in-class process for candidates and hiring managers.
* Work alongside the Apprentice Programme Manager to develop the established apprentice programmes and support with pastoral care.
* Manage and guide our Early Careers Advisor and third-party suppliers.
* Establish and deliver a Leadership Development strategy for Scania Great Britain, enabling our internal talent to grow and flourish within our organisation.
* Work closely with our People Business Partners and our Managers to understand, identify and deliver against specific development needs.
* Be visible across our Milton Keynes Head Office and sites across the UK to design and deliver workshops and bespoke team interventions as required.
* Ensure everything we do is delivered in a compliant way in accordance with our internal policies & guidelines, and legislative requirements.
* Enable our business to grow through the recruitment, development and coaching of our people, programmes and processes.
* Be a role model in word and action, to all around you. Be an ambassador of Scania’s core values.
About you:
* Experience: in end to end Early Careers recruitment, coaching and mentoring at various levels (certified coaching qualification desirable).
* Strategic: able to define and deliver strategies that meet the needs of the business.
* Passionate: committed to ensuring our people receive industry leading development.
* Excellent Communicator: able to understand and in turn make people feel understood, cast a clear message and vision.
* Excellent Presentation Skills: with the ability to deliver training at leadership level.
* Coach: experience developing colleagues and able to tailor your approach to any audience, being a role model in all you do.
* Facilitator: someone who facilitates and fosters growth, based on individual needs.
* Values driven: epitomising Scania’s core values and knows how to foster these in those around them.
