This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Science specialist to lead a dynamic department, inspire students, and drive excellence in teaching and learning. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes. They will play a key role in shaping the curriculum, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of innovation and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Science department. Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages. Monitor and enhance student progress and attainment. Develop and implement an engaging and ambitious Science curriculum. Support and mentor teaching staff to foster professional growth. Candidate Requirements: A qualified teacher status (QTS) and a degree in Science or a related subject. Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and preferably 5. A successful track record in leadership or middle leadership within a Science department. A passion for Science education and a commitment to student success. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to inspire both students and staff through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
