The NHS Cadets Project aims to support young people to learn about the NHS and prepare them for either a clinical or non-clinical future healthcare pathway. As a Project Lead, your role is to lead the delivery of the NHS Cadets programme through 1.5 – 2 hour sessions with young people from marginalised communities across the UK who are involved with the NHS Cadet Programme. You will also complete 3 hours flexible planning. The sessions will be delivered either face to face on partner NHS Trust buildings or SJA buildings, in a hybrid way or virtually; during term time. You should also be flexible over travel and the ability to also work evenings and weekends to provide assistance at residential activities when required.

About You:
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C/4) in 5 subjects including Maths & English
* Experience of teaching/training/demonstrating or coaching young people
* An understanding of Youth/community work and barriers faced by marginalised communities
* Strong organisational ability with experience of leading the delivery of a programme
* Excellent communication skills with experience of tailoring content to suit a variety of audiences and supporting young people to achieve their potential
About The Role:
* Recruit young people onto the NHS Cadets Programme and encourage those enrolled to maximise opportunities available to them
* Supervise St John Ambulance youth support staff and volunteers to deliver the programme
* Support as needed with the evaluation of the programme and the production of reports
* Deliver the programme effectively ensuring the content is engaging and administration is completed
* Perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities, the band of the post and skills and qualifications of the post-holder.
