Job Description
Egis is seeking an experienced Quality & Nuclear Safety Manager to lead efforts in ensuring the achievement and maintenance of ISO 19443 certification for the UK-based nuclear team and support nuclear projects. This role will act as a key liaison in our matrix organisation, between the Egis UK team and the Quality & Nuclear Safety Teams (headquarters in France) to ensure alignment with quality standards, safety regulations, and nuclear industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the UK-based team in the preparation and maintenance of ISO 19443 certification
*
* Foster a strong Nuclear Safety culture (trainings, communication, etc) and continuous improvement across all levels of the nuclear teams
* Implement specific documentation related to nuclear environment, aligned to internal Processes
* Lead internal nuclear safety & quality audits and prepare external audits and develop corrective and preventative action plans
* Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001 standards, as well as QHSEEth (Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, Ethic) regulations

* Act as the primary point of contact between the Egis UK team and the French headquarters ensuring cohesive strategies for quality and safety across nuclear projects
* Facilitate communication and knowledge transfer to ensure that QHSEEth and nuclear safety principles are consistently applied
* Work closely with project teams in the UK, France, and internationally to share best practices, resolve issues, and improve overall performance in nuclear safety and quality
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field

* Solid experience in nuclear safety, quality management, or a related field, with time spent focussed on ISO 19443 certification processes
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, and other relevant ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HQSE)
* Previous experience working in or with international nuclear projects and understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., ONR, ASNR, NRC)
* Familiarity with managing multi-disciplinary teams and working across different regions and cultures in a matrix organisation

* Strong knowledge of nuclear safety management systems and quality assurance processes
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with UK, French and global team with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on compliance and safety in a matrix organisation
