Job title: Support Worker Salary: £12-14 per hour Location: Birmingham, Support worker needed for IMMEDIATE START in Birmingham – Ongoing Assignments You will be an experienced Support Worker with at least 6 months’ experience of supporting residents who have mild / enduring mental health issues. The role of a Mental Health Support Worker is to ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents are always met. Care plans must be accurately followed, accurate observations made and noted to help contribute to care planning, administering medication and encouraging independence as much as possible are all key requirements of being a Support Worker - Mental Health Other duties could include personal care such as assisting with (or prompting) toileting, cleaning, dressing and these should always be provided with dignity. Mental Health Support Workers will often be required to support on a 121 basis so you should also have good communication skills and a calm, empathetic nature.
