We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated Accountant to work as a key member of a strong, committed team delivering financial support to some of our key strategic programmes and projects. Your role will require a professional approach to support your stakeholders with the submission of integrated plans and forecasts, and all associated financial management. You will be CCAB (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualified/part-qualified or be qualified by substantial experience in a financial environment including the preparation of and monitoring against financial plans. You will also bring with you experience of producing financial management information for non-finance professionals. As well as providing financial monitoring support, you will also be involved in developing new systems and reporting procedures, finding innovative solutions and improved ways of working. This vacancy is within the Central Services Finance team. However, should the business need arise, and after full consultation with you, you may be deployed elsewhere within the Finance Service. In this role you will report directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner – Strategic Projects but will also work closely with other financial and management accounting colleagues and other non-finance professionals from across the University.
