Brief Description
Do you have experience, or an interest, in Procurement? Do you want to join the team that is responsible for providing an efficient Procurement Service to the Region? We are looking for colleagues that have the following skills and experience:
* Procurement: We are looking for people that will deliver solutions to meet our customer needs. From identifying the best route to market, to carrying out that engagement, on behalf of the customer.
* Customer Service: We need you to be the face of the team. Interacting with our customer groups in all teams across the region.
* Systems Skills: We are looking for people that will become experts on Bravo, our procurement system, enabling us to manage the workload across all teams effectively.
* Organisational Skills: We are looking for people that will be able to help manage the portfolio across our teams.

About the role (External)
Your Main Responsibilities will be to:
1. Undertake full range of procurement activities including obtaining supplier prices, tendering negotiation and purchase order placement.
2. Assist in the procurement of higher value and more complex commodities.
3. Provision of dedicated support to senior staff in commodity area.
4. Target specific goods, services and/or suppliers to identify how tangible improvements may be made in the procurement of these goods and services.
You will ideally have:
Commercial experience and aptitude.
Understanding of procurement processes.
What could set you apart:
Knowledge of procurement and competition legislation, procurement procedures, processes, systems and controls.
Membership or training for qualifications in relevant professional institution.
