Our client is a prestigious and leading manufacturer of chocolate and confectionery based in Fakenham. Due to their continued development and growth, they are seeking to employ Process Operatives (Machine Operatives) to start ASAP.
On-going contract potentially leading to permanent for the right candidate.
Shifts Available:
1. 4 on 4 off Days – 6am – 6pm - £12.50 per hour
2. 4 on 4 off Nights – 6pm – 6am - £13.75 per hour
Reporting directly to the Area Shift Manager/Shift Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Operating the machines to the required standards and specifications.
2. Ensuring that the product meets the correct standards and specifications.
3. Attaining production and quality targets set out for each product.
4. Measuring, recording, and taking necessary actions regarding quality and weight checks.
5. Ensuring that the machines are operated in compliance with controlled documents and health and safety policies.
6. Ensuring that the machines are changed over correctly according to the planned changeover time.
7. Managing/Monitoring usage of chocolate from tempering units.
8. Ensuring cooling tunnel is run within machine specifications.
9. Training, coaching, and motivating Manufacturing operatives and trainee machine operators.
10. Interpreting and following recipes and machine set-up instructions.
11. Ensuring that any adjustments are recorded and reported to the Technician.
12. Any other duties for which the job holder has been trained.
13. Grade 6 Process Operatives to cover Cell Leader duties as required.

Desirable for the Role:
1. Understanding of HACCP.
2. An understanding of continuous improvement techniques and their use in a production environment.
