Iluka Resources is a global critical minerals company, with a proud 70 year history, entering a pivotal time of growth. With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we will be deploying a new mining technology.
Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) technology to extract key critical minerals. The technology we have developed enables access to ore bodies previously thought to be uneconomic - in future, we hope it brings potential to unlock other deep deposits of critical minerals, including those nearby to the Balranald project.
About the location
Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately 30kms outside of Balranald township in regional NSW. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who lives locally. Or if residing within the regional area; Mildura, Swan Hill, or surrounding towns, there is a drive-in drive-out option and allowance.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Operator (Warehouse Officer) to join our team at Iluka’s Balranald Operation.
This permanent position involves general warehousing and logistics tasks, including safe handling, inspection, goods receipting, recording, stock taking, storage, issuing, collection, and distribution of stock and materials.
Your accountabilities will include :
1. Proficient and safe operation, loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
2. Safe and efficient picking, packing & distribution of materials as required meeting the needs of the operations
3. Safe handling of spare parts, consumables, and chemicals
4. Receipt, storage and issue of stocked & direct purchase items in accordance with established Supply Policy and Procedures
5. Accurate ongoing stock-taking and record-keeping
6. Provide a range of support services to clients within established guidelines
7. Liaise effectively with end users and provide advice on logistics-related matters
8. Undertake work area housekeeping duties
9. Document fuel and other reagent deliveries
10. Other duties as required by direct Supervisor & Inventory Analyst
About you
1. Demonstrated experience in a Warehouse Mining Environment
2. Computer literacy with SAP MM & Microsoft Suite Essential
3. Current Licence to Perform High-Risk Work including Forklift, Telehandler
4. Cert 3 in Warehousing & Logistics Desirable
5. High standard of behaviours that align with Iluka’s values
6. Demonstrated proactive approach to safety and the environment
7. High level numeracy and literacy
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
10. Ability to work autonomously and coordinate own work activities
