PRODUCTION COORDINATOR – DOCUMENTARY TEAM Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded entertainment. We are looking for Production Coordinators to join our Whisper documentary team in Kew on a returning sports series. The post would suit Production Coordinators with experience in setting up foreign filming shoots, and a strong understanding of the complexities that come with sending crews all over the world. A background working in the documentary genre would be beneficial. This role would suit someone who is confident working to tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment, along with being able to drive a team forward. This role will involve setting up international travel logistics, booking crew and ensuring paperwork requirements are met. Experience of setting up international filming is essential. Responsibilities Providing direct support to the Production Management team, assisting with the communication of key production information to Producers and the editorial team Organising and booking travel for crew, contributors & talent both in UK and Internationally. Negotiating rates with external suppliers & crew Knowledge of co-ordinating and delivering a range of elements for location shoots. Producing complex call sheets with accurate and detailed movement orders Supporting your production manager with raising purchase orders, dealing with expenses and liaising with finance team where appropriate Maintaining accurate financial records; reporting any budgetary issues Understanding of Health and Safety policies Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation Skills At least two years Production Coordinator credits in a broadcast environment – experience in sport docs is not essential, but the ability to work on a fast turnaround production is Comfortable working in a busy ever-changing environment Experience of dealing with multiple logistics requirements Good communication skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks as well as a strong team ethic Excellent organisational and time management skills Technical knowledge; camera kit / uploading of rushes Budgeting skills Excellent IT skills The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team including the ability to manage up and provide positive and effective support to the editorial A proactive attitude to work and promoting a positive work ethic in the team Ability to work on your own initiative Excellent attention to detail and ability to react quickly to project changes Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems Location Kew, London Working Days: 5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week. Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.
