Job Description
As the Cash Applications Specialist, you will ensure the timely and accurate allocation of funds to customer accounts, following all company policies and maintaining a high level of service to Informa customers and colleagues. This role offers a balanced hybrid working model, with office days on Thursdays and Fridays.
You will be responsible for carrying out tasks within set timeframes while supporting Informa’s commitment to data security and privacy in all aspects of your purpose of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate allocation of monies to customer accounts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Investigating and resolving unidentified or unapplied payments, allocating them as required
2. Processing bank statements and updating matching rules as needed
3. Inputting and processing daily cash receipts from statements, cheques, and credit cards
4. Performing standard cash allocations and reconciling the associated General Ledger
5. Reconciling SAP, bank postings, and MCAS daily, as appropriate
6. Executing refund payments through the correct methods
7. Preparing and reconciling all bank accounts managed by the SSC
8. Investigating and resolving discrepancies identified in reconciliations
9. Preparing reconciliations for credit card and petty cash accounts, as applicable
10. Reporting on cash movements to assist in cash-flow analysis, when necessary
11. Managing and reconciling funds related to Agent Order Files (SSC Specific)
12. Coordinating with internal and external customers to resolve queries
13. Reporting on credit balances (SSC Specific)
Qualifications
14. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across various internal departments and key contacts
15. knowledge of SAP system is highly preferable, supporting efficient and accurate cash operations
16. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential
17. Ability to remain approachable and supportive under pressure
18. Skilled in using relevant internal systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
19. Demonstrates integrity, tact, and diplomacy in all interactions
20. Effective team player who collaborates well with others
21. Capable of handling a diverse range of tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
22. Proactive problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset
23. Excellent customer service skills, ensuring positive experiences for all stakeholders
24. Strong time management skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines
25. Adaptable and flexible, open to taking on varied responsibilities
26. Strong oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism
27. Solid understanding of Cash Applications processes, especially in:Queries & AllocationsCash Processing and ReconciliationsCash Operations best practices
