Economics Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start A successful and ambitious secondary school in the diverse borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join their thriving Social Sciences department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop a strong understanding of economic principles and their real-world applications. Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities. Utilizing a variety of teaching resources, including current events, economic data, and case studies, to enhance students' understanding of economic concepts. Collaborating with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to develop and enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education. The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in Economics or a closely related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A strong understanding of the KS4 and KS5 Economics curriculum. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for economics education.
