As the Director of Employee Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training, leadership development, and coaching programs that support the organization's strategic objectives. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, fostering professional growth, and building a strong internal leadership pipeline to drive organizational effectiveness. The Director will also embed a culture of coaching and continuous learning across all levels of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Quality
* Develop innovative training programs that address skill gaps, enhance competencies, and align with business objectives.
* Establish measurable goals for training initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational strategy.
* Integrate digital learning platforms and e-learning tools to create flexible, scalable learning solutions.
* Design and lead internal leadership development programs to prepare high-potential employees for increased responsibilities and executive roles.
* Partner with senior leaders to identify future leadership needs and build customized development plans for key talent.
* Implement succession planning strategies to ensure leadership continuity and business sustainability.
* Serve as a certified internal coach, providing high-level coaching to leaders, managers, and high-potential employees.
* Foster a coaching culture by training managers and leaders in coaching techniques to improve team performance and engagement.
* Collaborate with HR and business leaders to embed coaching as a core element of talent development.
* Partner with the Chief People Officer regarding the Firm’s performance management strategy, ensuring a focus on goal alignment, employee development, and fair evaluations.
* Coach managers on delivering constructive feedback and creating meaningful development plans for their teams.
* Develop tools and resources to support leaders in addressing performance challenges and enabling employee growth.
* Conduct ongoing assessments to identify organizational development needs and develop targeted solutions.
* Leverage analytics to measure the success of training, leadership, and coaching programs, refining initiatives based on data insights.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into talent strategies.
* Partner with HR and business leaders to drive initiatives in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), employee engagement, and retention.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on talent strategies and organizational development.

* Actively participate in self-development activities and collaborate with the Chief People Officer to develop and monitor appropriate and challenging goals.
* Solicit overall performance feedback on assigned areas.
* Provide upward feedback to ensure effective professional development.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of cooperation and teamwork and strive to maintain positive working relationships.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong knowledge of leadership coaching, adult learning principles, and organizational development strategies.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Proficient in leveraging technology to support learning and development initiatives.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
* High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
Education, Experience, & Other Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
* Coaching certification (e.g., ICF, CTI, or equivalent) required. Certifications in leadership development frameworks (e.g., MBTI, DISC, or StrengthsFinder) preferred.
* 10 years experience in talent development, leadership coaching, or organizational development roles, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
* Proven experience designing and implementing leadership development programs within a professional services or corporate environment.
