As a Teaching Assistant focused on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), you play a vital role in transforming children's lives every day. Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in either a professional or personal capacity is essential for this role. This is a full-time, school-based position, with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. What We Are Looking For: Knowledge and/or experience of working with or supporting children with any form of Special Educational Need (SEN), particularly Autism, would be beneficial. Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential. Your attitude, desire to help, and transferable skills are just as important. A strong understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the safety and well-being of children. Experience in encouraging positive behaviour using agreed behaviour management strategies. A caring and nurturing approach to supporting pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Who This Role Would Suit: A qualified Teaching Assistant with knowledge of SEN or experience supporting challenging behaviour. Individuals with a background in Residential Support, Social Work, Mental Health Support, or similar transferable skills. Graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, or related Mental Health fields. Individuals with personal or professional experience supporting children, young people, or adults with additional needs.
