The Role & Key Responsibilities From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference. The People Resolution Centre Assistant is a new and exciting role within the People Operations function, a new portfolio within People Services that includes a Resolution Centre, People Partners and Casework Team. This is a critical role, supporting a high profile, front facing, and customer focused operations function to all employees and stakeholders. This will include face to face on occasion and resolving issues at the earliest opportunity. You will be the first point of contact supporting the resolution of straightforward HR related matters whilst gathering the full picture, and articulating options to seek the best outcomes, to ensure our customer’s get the best possible experience. On occasion when the issues cannot be resolved by yourself you will be able to escalate the issues to your Team Leader or other identified individuals / teams within People Services as appropriate. You will manage and process tasks and activities by being the first point of contact for HR queries, advice, guidance and support to colleagues and line managers, engaging and ensuring the function provides a quality customer service experience in compliance with polices, GDPR and employment legislation. The People Operations team will work in an agile nature that will include the need to work at Headquarters (Guildford) on a weekly basis, but also the need to travel across force areas on occasion together with the opportunity to work from home. You will be able to apply flexibility to your working day in line with meetings and demand. Skills & Experience You will be required to hold Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths. You will have good communication skills both verbal and written. You should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications. We are looking for you to be able to plan, manage and prioritise your workload whilst responding flexibly to changing demands. This role requires you to be able to problem solve in a fast-paced environment, diagnosing cause and resolution options. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and can embed a culture of continuous improvement and delivery of delivery. Why Work With Us?
