If so we are interested in hearing fromyou. Due to our everincreasing client portfolio and the continuingdevelopment of our Arboricultural department we are looking toappoint a Senior Arboricultural Consultant.
Theposition provides the right candidate with an ideal opportunity tobe a part of a motivated team who provide technical advice to adiverse range of clients covering projects across all aspects ofarboriculture. Our team undertakes Arboricultural surveys andArboricultural Impact Assessments in accordance with BS5837: Treesin Relation to Design Demolition and Construction Recommendations.They will also be involved in a wide range of projects covering thepreparation of Woodland Management Plans Veteran Tree AssessmentsNHBC Surveys and Tree Hazard Assessments.
Principal responsibilities/keyduties:
* Managingprojects throughout their lifecycle prior to and postplanningpreparing fee quotes managing project budgets and providing adviceon arboriculture to clients stakeholders and project teams;
* Planning leading on and conductingarboriculture surveys;
* Preparing a range ofArboricultural reports Arboricultural survey plans Arboriculturalreports Arboricultural impact assessments and Arboricultural methodstatements and strategies;
* Designing andimplementing appropriate mitigation measures to enhance and protectArboricultural features;
* Supporting andmentoring junior staff sharing your own knowledge and expertise todevelop their skills andknowledge and professional judgement;
* Building and maintaining strong clientrelationships as well as with contractors and regulatorybodies
* Work collaboratively within amultidisciplinary team in the planning and delivery ofArboriculturalservices.
About you
* A Level 4 or higherqualification in arboriculture or equivalent environmentaldiscipline;
* A VALID or PTI qualification wouldbe advantageous;
* At least 5 years working inArboricultural consultancy with proven experience in projectmanagement including for medium to large scale and more complexsites liaising with clients and wider project consultants todeliver outputsefficiently and on time;
* Demonstrable experience in complex reportwriting inclusive but not limited to Arboricultural survey plansArboricultural reports Arboricultural impact assessments andArboricultural method statements andstrategies;
* Strong communication skills withthe ability to collaborate effectively with diversestakeholders;
* An advanced knowledge ofArboriculture in the context of the UK legislative and planningsystem;
* Knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD systems wouldbe advantageous;
* Membership or eligibility tomembership of a relevant professional body (eg The ArboriculturalAssociation or Institute of Chartered Foresters);
* A passion for Arboriculture and sustainableenvironmental design;
* A full UK driving licenceand access tovehicle.
