Job Description
12 month contract (Inside IR35) - £70.90 per hour umbrella / £61.54 PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
Hybrid working – circa once per month on site
Job Role:
* Assist in the development of the nuclear site safety case
* Hazard identification and analysis
* Deterministic assessment
* Probabilistic assessment
* Support ongoing periodic review of safety activities
* Support ongoing regulatory discussions with ONR/DNSR
* Interface with engineering substantiation team
Key Experience Required:
* Degree in engineering or equivalent
* Significant experience of Safety Case development techniques and practices - in Nuclear or other high hazard industry.
* Experience with Naval Nuclear programme ideal but not essential
* Safety case authoring
* Understanding of modern standards in a nuclear safety case
* Knowledge of nuclear safety cases and their application to submarines would be an advantage
* Has experience of working within maritime, defence or safety engineering industries
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in engineering or equivalent
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders
* The ability to write accurately, concisely and logically
* The ability to influence others in a challenging environment
