The welcoming School is seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of English who has the ability to teach English at every level from January on a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:
* Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions.
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
* Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school’s curriculum policy.
* Give pupils regular feedback and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback.
* Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy.
* Deploy any support staff effectively.
* Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.
* Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being.
Must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience working within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience).
* Excellent subject knowledge.
* Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process).
* Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document.
* Excellent classroom management.
* Good communication skills.
