As a Restoration Technician Apprentice, you'll: Restore water supplies to customers following interruptions, such as burst water mains. Tack both planned work and unexpected disruptions with advanced engineering techniques, including: Tanker and overland supplies. Deploy emergency pumps. Operating generators to swiftly restore water service. Ensure the highest water quality standards are met, both in and out of hours. Act as a frontline point of contact for customers and the public, serving as an ambassador for Anglian Water. Deliver excellent customer service with a focus on communication and care. Gain an LGV licence to drive large water tankers as part of your training. Prepare to work on a 24/7 standby basis after qualification, emphasizing the critical importance of your role. What Are We Looking For? A passion for problem-solving and sustainability. GCSEs (Grade A-C or 9-4 in Math, English, and Science) or Level 2 Functional Skills. (please note that predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams) A willingness to work outdoors and take on challenges A growth mindset and a drive to explore, learn, and contribute to a greater purpose. Whether you are new to the industry or considering a career change-our programs are designed to support and develop all. You will need a full UK driving licence. If you do not currently have this, you are required to hold a full UK driving licence prior to the completion of year 2 of the training programme. As part of this apprenticeship, you will be required to attain your LGV licence (supported by Anglian Water) and will be subject to a medical fitness test to make sure you are safe to operate this machinery. This position is deemed a safety critical role with safety being our number one priority. Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening will be taken. You will attend college on a block release schedule, spending Monday to Thursday there for two weeks at a time, which amounts to eight college days per month. The remaining time will be spent on the job learning, applying your learning and gaining hands-on experience. Your learning journey will also be supported with a minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training. This course usually takes 24 months to complete. (Travel costs to/from college will be covered, in line with our expenses reimbursement policy).
