Location: On-site at CFL head office, based at London Heathrow Airport
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operational activities, reporting to and working closely with our Managing Director.
Every day, we handle tens of thousands of parcels through our airside office and warehouse at London Heathrow. We’re the critical step between over 30 of the world’s largest airlines and couriers, and one of the fastest and most trusted ways to move goods in and out of Heathrow. Behind these logistics is a series of complex and robust operational processes. As the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for them and the teams who look after each step.
This role calls for an organised, strategic thinker to help ensure we meet our regulatory responsibilities and maintain outstanding compliance standards. You’ll be responsible for most of the employees here at CFL, so we’re also looking for a real people-person, able to manage and develop teams and help deliver on our ambitious commercial plans.
The right person will…
* be a positive force within our company, leading by example and unafraid of getting stuck in, all while keeping focused on results
* have a natural ability to get the best out of people, championing individual development as well as improving overall front-line management
* have impeccable commercial awareness with a mindset that consistently looks for operational efficiencies to improve our productivity and services
* work well under pressure and keep a clear, calm head - no matter the situation - to make objective, reasonable decisions
* be able to interpret and analyse data within business reports to deliver on productivity goals
* expertly develop and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including key business partners, regulatory bodies, customers and airport authorities.
We don’t require candidates to have any formal qualifications. However, experience managing within aviation, logistics, or another compliance-focused setting is essential.
In global logistics, no two days are ever the same meaning an ability to prioritise and delegate is essential. However, most days in this role will include…
* leading, managing, and coaching our Operations Team, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality
* ensuring our services run smoothly and remain on target to achieve proposed growth
* managing key customer relationships to ensure they receive an exceptional service
* seeking opportunities to use new technology that will help create operational efficiency
* monitoring performance against targets and planning for future growth.
Rewards and benefits
* health and wellbeing support with Paycare
* sick pay, life insurance and critical illness cover
* exciting career progression and development opportunities
