* A well-invested, highly automated site which is currently undergoing a further £35 million investment to improve our facility and equipment upgrades.
* Works are ongoing with our Anaerobic Digestion plant and upon completion, our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant at our Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery will be the largest in Europe.
So what do our engineers actually do?
This is an opportunity not to be missed. You’ll get the chance to work at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy working across our Anaerobic Digestion plant. As an M&E Technician, you will perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns. This includes:
* Inspecting and servicing pumps, valves, feed systems, and other mechanical components
* Troubleshooting and repairing faults in the digestion system and associated equipment
* Monitoring the performance of the anaerobic digestion process using control systems
* Adjusting controls to regulate flow rates, temperatures, and mixing to optimize the digestion process and collecting and analyzing data on biogas production, quality, and composition
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role:
* Ambition & drive
* Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, and process environments; experience working on an effluent treatment plant (ETP) or Anaerobic Digestion plant (AD) would be highly desirable.
* Ideally apprentice trained with NVQ or CITB level 3 qualification within an engineering discipline
* Experience with fast-moving machinery including pumps, valves, feed systems, heat exchangers, digesters, and so on.
* Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’s
* Time served as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
